How to use PNG to JPG

  1. Add one or more PNG or WebP images.

  2. Set the quality slider. 90% looks the same as the original for most photos; go lower when a form has an upload size limit.

  3. Choose a background colour for transparent areas: white, black or light grey.

  4. Tap Convert. Each image downloads as a JPG, and the size before and after is shown so you can check it fits.

  5. Still too big? Lower the quality a step and convert again.

Questions about png to jpg

How do I get a photo under a size limit?
Lower the quality slider and convert. Each result shows the size before and after, so you can try again until it fits.
Why does my transparent PNG change?
JPG cannot store transparency. Transparent areas are filled with the background colour you pick — white by default.
Can I convert many images at once?
Yes. Add them all and they are converted and downloaded one after another.
Which quality should I use for a form that allows 50 KB?
Start at about 70% and check the size shown after converting. If it is still over, drop 10% at a time. Most photos stay readable down to around 50%; below that, resizing the image to fewer pixels works better than lowering quality further.
Should I convert screenshots to JPG?
Usually not. A screenshot of text or a logo stays sharper, and is often smaller, as PNG. Convert to JPG when the image is a photo, or when the form only accepts JPG.
