Signature Scanner & Resizer

Scan a signature straight off the paper with your camera, sign on the screen, or upload a file you already have. Uneven light is flattened, a tilted sheet is straightened from its four corners, and the paper is cropped away — then the signature is set to the pixel size and KB ceiling the portal demands.

For a signature that comes out clean

  • Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen — a pencil loses its thinnest strokes when reduced.
  • Lay the paper flat and hold the camera straight above it. Uneven light is corrected, but a steep angle is not.
  • Fill the frame with the signature. Scanning tight beats resizing a small signature up.

A signature is a specimen of your identity — this one is processed on this device and never uploaded

Questions about signature scanner & resizer

How do I scan a signature without a scanner?
Sign on a plain white sheet, choose Scan and point the camera at it. The uneven light from your own hand is flattened automatically and the surrounding paper is cropped away, so the result looks scanned rather than photographed. It works on a shop PC with a webcam as well as on a phone.
The paper looks tilted in my photo. Does that matter?
It does, and the tool corrects it. A sheet photographed at an angle is a trapezoid, and the edge further from the camera is compressed — so a signature on it comes out narrower at one end. After you capture, drag the four corners onto the corners of the paper and it is flattened back into a rectangle. The preview beside it shows the result as you drag.
Can I sign directly on the screen?
Yes. Choose Draw and sign with a finger, a stylus or a mouse. The drawing is cropped to your strokes, so no white box reaches the form. If the portal specifically requires a signature made on paper, use Scan instead.
What size should a signature be?
140 × 60 pixels under 20 KB covers most exam and government forms. Some portals allow 300 × 80 px up to 50 KB. The form's own instructions always win — type the figures in if they differ.
Can I use it for a thumb impression?
Yes. The thumb impression preset is 240 × 240 px under 30 KB, which is the square format those forms ask for.
Should the background be white or transparent?
White for almost every portal — a transparent PNG can print as a black box on some systems. Transparent is only useful when you are placing the signature onto a document yourself.
My signature looks faint after resizing.
Scan or photograph it on plain white paper in good light, and use a dark pen. A faint pencil signature loses its thinnest strokes when the image is reduced to 140 pixels wide.
